What changed: the marketplace economics broke
We’ve always been comfortable sharing a slice of every sale with the marketplace. Discovery, payments, and exposure are worth paying for. But Envato’s new terms, effective July 2026, changed the equation in two big ways:
- The commission jumped sharply. Under the new revenue split, roughly two-thirds of every sale now goes to the platform before a single taka reaches the team that actually built the product.
- Exclusivity ended. Authors are no longer locked into selling through one marketplace — which means, for the first time, we’re free to sell to you directly.
